Eric Rofes Multicultural Queer Resource Center  is named in honor of Eric Rofes. The Center was created after his dealth with a focus of Queer/Anti- Racist/ Feminist Activism. Eric Rofes Multicultural Queer Resource Center is a studenet-run student- funded initiative that provides programming and resources of Humboldt State University.

 

Eric Rofes was a gay activist, educator, and author who wrote or edited 12 books. Who was from New York, and was a Hardvard alumini, who then pursued his masters at Berkely 

He was a Humboldt State professor, A board memeber of the Nattional and Lesbian Task Force.

 

 

 

These are images of how the Eric Rofes Multicultural Queer Resource Center, it's location is literally across the street of the MCC ,Warren House #53

 

For the time this center does not function the same as others, by providing drop in hours having people work the front desk, they're currently sharing the space with another organization on campus that doesnt alllow thme to currently create a safe space for queers. That is one of their goals for next semsester, to be able to have drop in hours host more gatherings at the ERC so people know where it is located. Also to promote more, advertise they exist.
